Our thoughts are with Andrew's family

San Francisco, 9th May 2013 - We are devastated to confirm the death of Olympic gold and silver medallist Andrew Simpson after a training accident involving his Artemis Racing AC72 boat in San Francisco today.

Simpson became trapped underneath the boat and despite attempts to revive him, by doctors afloat and subsequently ashore, his life was lost.

Ohuruogu wins Gold in 4x400m at European Indoor Championships

Goteborg, 3rd March 2013 - Christine Ohuruogu along with her three teammates, Perri Shakes-Drayton, Eilidh Child and Shana Cox won the 4x400m relay setting a new British record in the process. The women's 4x400m team led off by Child, led from the very first leg to win in a new championship record of three minutes 27.56 seconds, finishing 0.22 ahead of Russia, with Czech Republic getting bronze.

Pamela Relph becomes ambassador for Arthritis Research UK

London, 27th February 2013 - Leading medical charity, Arthritis Research UK, has announced Paralympic gold medallist Pamela Relph, MBE as a new ambassador for the charity. Pamela, 23, who competed in the London 2012 Paralympics gold medal adaptive rowing team, was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis aged seven.

Bithell and Grube team up in bid for Rio gold

London, 18th January 2013 - Stuart Bithell, who claimed Olympic sailing silver in 2012, has revealed he is to team up with fellow ex-470 sailor Chris Grube in his quest for gold at Rio 2016. Bithell, who partnered Luke Patience to 2012 podium glory and two World Championship silvers in the 470 class, has now made the switch to the high performance 49er skiff in a bid to realise his golden ambitions.
